Was sind eMule MOD's ?
Man hört immer wieder davon, vielleicht weiß man auch näheres, aber nicht genau. eMule MoD's sind Modifikationen des originalen eMule Programms Download durch andere Programmierer.

Während eDonkey und Overnet von einem kleinen Programmierteam entwickelt werden, unterliegt der dritte Klient, der zum eDonkey-Netzwerk verbindet, der GPL, er ist Open Source.
Das bedeutet, jeder der Lust hat, die Kenntnisse hat, Zusatzfunktionen programmieren oder Veränderungen vornehmen kann, solange er sich an die GPL-Lizenz hält, d.h. auch seine Änderungen unterliegen dieser Lizenz.
